Best Big Sister

Well, today is officially Addison's last day as an only child. As you can see she has dutifully checked and double checked everything we have brought out for Reagan. She has made certain that everything is safe and in its best working order. She sat in this swing while she watched Sesame Street this morning, and the Pack N Play is full of babydolls as I write this. She truly is excited to meet her sister. She has mastered the name Reagan and all week she has said, "Sister comin' soon" and "Thursday!". Tommy and I are so anxious to see her reaction to the baby and pray that her love for her only increases when Reagan arrives.

Pappy's Horses

We went to Dallas last weekend, and Addison got to spend the day playing on Pappy and Miss Debra's horse ranch. She is in heaven there! She helped Pappy drive the tractor, fed all the horses dinner, and played with the barn cats. Her favorite is feeding the horses carrots for snack!

Sweet but Sassy!

Look at this sweet face...could she be any cuter? I am having to learn how to enforce discipline, despite the sweet little looks she gives me! Yesterday I changed the radio in the car, which she thinks should remain constantly on Elmo. As I changed it, she said, "No Mommy!". I told her, for the millionth time, that we don't say "No Mommy", that it isn't nice. She smiled at me sweet as pie from the backseat and said, "No, Kim"! What a mess....I couldn't do anything but laugh, which means I am sure she will use that line again!

The Zoo

Our friends from Phoenix came to visit last weekend and we took all the girls to the zoo! Even with 4 adults, getting 3 kids and all their gear loaded and unloaded from the car is a task! Addison loved all the animals at the zoo, but not as much as the poop! Whenever someone asks her what she saw at the zoo, she tells them "poop"! It's true, there was alot of poop...I just sure didn't expect it to be what she remembered most! I almost feel out of my chair laughing the first time I heard her tell someone that!

Elmo Groupies

Sunday night we went with the McClures to Sesame Street Live....Elmo Makes Music! Addison is crazy about Elmo right now, so this was such a treat for her. Besides the fact that we completly overstimulated our children it was so much fun! They were pretty hyped up after watching DVD's all the way there, seeing the show, a LATE dinner at Chili's and more DVD's all the way home! This was one action packed evening in the eyes of a one year old, but we all loved it!!!

Our First Major Accident

Well, we have survived our first major accident. I am sure it is only the first of many to come! Addison was trying to walk her 70 pound dog, when Maggie spotted something and bolted. I had been holding Maggie's collar, while Addison held the leash, but I had just let go for a split second....all Mommy's fault! Maggie yanked the leash right out of her hand, but not until after Addison bounced twice off the concrete! She has actually been pretty tough, and didn't even cry that long, she just looks pretty beat up!

Dressing Herself

After lots of time and consideration, this was Addison's outfit of choice this morning. She has on "big girl" Dora panties over her diaper, her fuzzy house shoes, and her golf visor on backwards. What golf course wouldn't take her this way?

Addison's New Table

Santa stopped at the Guess house early this year, since we won't be home for Christmas. Addison was so excited to see her new table and chairs! She loves to sit and color. Notice her outfit selection. Mommy put the jammies on her. The dress shoes, bracelets and Christmas bow she added herself....such a girl already!

Picasso

Well, my little Picasso was unusually quiet and cooperative while I showered today. After I finished she proudly led me to my bedroom where she had done all this beautiful, orange crayon drawing on the wall. Bless her heart, she knows not to color on furniture or the floor, but walls we hadn't addressed yet. She really was proud of herself! Oh well, I hear the Magic Eraser works miracles!

Happy Halloween

Halloween was a big hit for Addison this year. She went all around the neighborhood gathering candy for Mommy to eat. She also loved opening the door and handing candy to the other kids!

Christmas in October

We picked this kitchen up today. It is Addison's Christmas present, but since it was already put together, I couldn't resist letting her play with it today. We will put it away when she goes to bed tonight, and she will have forgotten all about it by Christmas. She is a little too short for it, but she quickly solved that problem with her food container.

Good Friends...

A good friend will give you the shoes off his feet. Sam came over last night, and he brought his dress up boots, because he knows how much Addison loves them. She wore the boots around for awhile, then tiring of the boots, she persuaded Sam to give up his cool blue tennis shoes. Sam was happy to make the trade!

I don't share food...

Addison doesn't share food, but Grandpa isn't giving up, and Addison thinks it's pretty funny!

Tough Toddler Times!

Two of these pictures show how happy Addison is about the blue-icing cupcake Mom brought home from a baby shower. The other picture shows how MAD Addison is when she isn't allowed to hold the cupcake herself. She likes it....but not enough to let me feed her. Daddy got on to both of us for eating blue cupcakes on the stairs!

What Happened???

I am not sure what really happened here. Addison helps herself to full boxes of Cheerios from the pantry. One minute she was walking around snacking on them, and the next minutes she was on the floor covered in them. Maggie stays close to Addison's snacks and was happy to clean up the mess!

Fun in the Sun

The slide is Addison's favorite part of the pool. This pool is the best, because the slide is inside the baby pool, Addison can climb the stairs and slide down all by herself!

In the Doghouse

This picture has bad lighting, but it is still so cute! Even though she isn't supposed to be in there, Addison loves hanging out with Maggie in her crate. If I turn my head for a second Addison heads this way. Maggie doesn't seem to mind.

Addison's Big News

Sweet Puppy

Addison's Uncle Mike and Uncle Steve gave her this puppy when we saw them last weekend. Addison loved playing with it, until our real dog chewed the nose of off this one. Addison gets really frustrated about the missing nose. She brings me the dog and rattles off baby gibberish, that I would guess is telling me to "Fix It". Sadly, Mommy doesn't know how to sew, so the puppy must remain in this sad state until we see Grandma next weekend.
