School Talent Show

Just another way our school goes above and beyond is with their student talent show at the end of each year. The teachers put in hours of extra work setting this up for the students. They "try-out" a few weeks before. They just basically have to demonstrate that they do have a planned performance and that it is appropriate. Meet those standards and you are in.
Gracyn and her friends Abygael and Katie did a ribbon dance to "Let it Go". They had a practice at my house one Sunday afternoon and worked on their routine on the playground. They were adorable up there twirling their ribbon and dancing. I was impressed with how brave they were to get up in front of the entire school to perform.
Seriously, they were CUTE!!!!
Reagan and her friend Joselyn did their routine from their hip-hop class to "Welcome to New York". They wore their recital costumes. They have been working on this routine for several months at dance, and practiced a few times at home, so it was polished and perfect
So proud of her!
They had so many students perform this year that they ended up having 2, 2 hour shows.
One show had most of K-2 and the other 3rd and 4th graders. I was so impressed with how the audience stayed attentive and supportive through all the performances. They are teaching children well there! The younger kids group was a little longer, so Reagan and her friend got moved to the older day. That means I went to both, 2 days in a row!! I had a blast, but that was a lot of talent show!!! The 3 year old tagging along with me deserves a trophy. He did a great job watching. The girls are already planning what to do next year!!! Gracyn and her friend at this point, plan to trap a rabbit and train it for the show. I guess I have a year to convince her that may not be her best idea.

Summer

It's here, it's here!!! It's my favorite time of year!!! I LOVE having my girls home for summer. I love the weather, the pool, no schedule, the time with them. I am soaking it all up!
We moved our annual last day, bus stop, ice cream party to Arkansas. This was our first year doing it here and it was a big hit. I think we ended up with 31 friends from the neighborhood, along with a few friends that drove over. You can imagine how thrilled they were to stop long enough for this picture. They were WAY too distracted by ice cream, water guns, and friends.
Dessert. It is her FAVORITE. She is an addict.
Blessed to have been placed in this neighborhood and made all these friends over the course of the year. I wish we would have gotten a picture, when they were all there!!! Now, its my favorite time and I am enjoying the days with my people. We are still six and doing well as so. Looking forward to the next few months.
