Summertime!!!

I LOVE summer! We are having so much fun. We take Addison to the pool several times a week. She is fearless! Just this week, Tommy taught her to go under. She jumps in and waits for him to pull her up. We are frequently instructed not to touch her, and we have to remind her that she can't touch. Reagan usually hangs out in her carseat and watches all the fun. In the evenings when it is cooler, all the neighbors have been gathering in the cul-de-sac. The kids are so cute watching for the Ice-Cream truck, playing in the sprinklers and drawing all over everything with sidewalk chalk.

Are you Kidding Me?

What a mess! This is supposed to be children's lipgloss. It came in a Disney Princess necklace and was a party favor from a birthday party last weekend. As you can see, it is more like latex paint than lipgloss. Addison, Reagan and I were all covered, not to mention my furniture and our cloths! Addison's face has had a purple tint ever since. Now I am pretty patient when it comes to messes! I am all for playdough, paint, and tea parties with real water, but this was too much. Needless to say, she won't have anymore "lipgloss" for a long time!

First Smiles

Our sweet Reagan is full of smiles these days....often we are too busy to capture them on camera, but they warm our hearts! She was two months yesterday, time is really flying. She is a long and lean little girl. She was 24 inches and only 9 pounds. She is such a sweet, laid back little baby. She does love to be held, but I usually don't mind. She sleeps all night most nights, though I must confess it is in her carseat. Don't panic, I put the carseat in her crib...we don't make her sleep in the garage! She is also most certainly a Mommy's girl, I really didn't mean for that to happen, as my hands are pretty full with Addison, but that's just the way it is.Thankfully Addison is more and more Daddy's little buddy all the time. We are so blessed with 2 such precious angels!

A Day at the Lake

We spent the day last Saturday at my Grandpa's lake house in Ceder Creek. We had so much fun. Addison loved the lake, her first boat ride, feeding the ducks, and driving the golf cart. She played with her cousins and was spoiled by Great Grandma, "G-Ma". Addison had NO FEAR of the lake, so we were on our toes all day, watching her! Reagan was in heaven, since there were lots of extra hands around in line to hold her. I am certain she wasn't put down for a second all day!

Happy Birthday

We celebrated Addison's second birthday at the park this weekend. We combined our party with her best friend Sam. We had lots of fun, despite the heat! The cake was Addison's favorite part. She has been playing with her new toys all week.

Baby Dedication

Reagan was dedicated at our church on Mother's Day. The girls were precious in their matching outfits. Reagan was asleep the whole time, but Addison thought it was so much fun to be on stage. She said, "See alot people!", and loudly said, "Amen" after every prayer.

Happy Birthday Addison!

We had a great day celebrating Addison's 2nd birthday on Friday. Her party is coming up Saturday, but we spent Friday celebrating and playing all day. Tommy was able to work from home, so he took a few playbreaks throughout the day. She got a new game from us, where she catches butterflies from an elephant's trunk. We also made cupcakes, which you can see from the picture, she is not quite sure how to eat. Friday night a few friends came over for dinner and cake. The kids cracked us up pulling each other around in the Mega Blocks wagon. We all had a great time, except poor Reagan, all the fun was a bit too much for her!

Reagan's Face

This is Reagan's most common expression....fists curled at her checks and brow creased....she's a very serious girl! She was one month old on Saturday, but still very little. She only weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces at her one month visit. She is sleeping a little longer at night and trying so hard to smile! Considering all the noise a chaos she puts up with from her sister, she is a pretty laid back baby!

Snuggle Time

Addison loves when we bring Reagan into her room in the morning or after her nap. She likes Reagan to get in her bed so she can snuggle, kiss and hug on her! It is so sweet watching them together.

Sweet Newborn Days

Oh these sweet precious days don't last long enough! I can see her getting bigger every time I look at her! These are a few of our amateur attempts at photographing her while she was still newborn. I really wanted a few pictures with Big Sister as well, but I have decided it is simply impossible to photograph a newborn and toddler. In every picture Reagan was crying, and Addison was a blur because she couldn't sit still!

Bathtime at the Guess House

Two wet, slippery girls and a couple of tired parents! Addison is such a big helper. She loves washing her baby's toes. As you can see, she enjoys this more than Reagan does!

Who's Who???

Okay, here is the comparison. This is both girls shortly after they were born. I think they are pretty similar, but who knows, maybe it is just the standard hospital attire that makes it seem that way. Reagan is the picture on the top....Addison is the picture on the bottom.

Playtime!!!

After the Easter Egg hunt the kids headed straight for the sandbox. We stripped them down and let them play. They were so cute running all over the backyard in thier diapers and covered with sand. All this fun resulted in group bathtime, where we had five kids in one tub....thank goodness for the invention of the garden tub. These are the kinds of pictures that will make for great bribery some day!

Happy Easter

Addison and I went to an Easter party with her playgroup today! Miss Laurie made lunch for all the kids and hid Easter Eggs in her backyard. They were so cute. We predicted that they would stop at one egg each, and be too busy opening that egg and eating chocolate to keep hunting. But, we were wrong. They ran around and filled their baskets. Miss Laurie had lots of desserts for after the hunt, which was probably Addison's favorite part.

Best Big Sister

Well, today is officially Addison's last day as an only child. As you can see she has dutifully checked and double checked everything we have brought out for Reagan. She has made certain that everything is safe and in its best working order. She sat in this swing while she watched Sesame Street this morning, and the Pack N Play is full of babydolls as I write this. She truly is excited to meet her sister. She has mastered the name Reagan and all week she has said, "Sister comin' soon" and "Thursday!". Tommy and I are so anxious to see her reaction to the baby and pray that her love for her only increases when Reagan arrives.

Pappy's Horses

We went to Dallas last weekend, and Addison got to spend the day playing on Pappy and Miss Debra's horse ranch. She is in heaven there! She helped Pappy drive the tractor, fed all the horses dinner, and played with the barn cats. Her favorite is feeding the horses carrots for snack!

Sweet but Sassy!

Look at this sweet face...could she be any cuter? I am having to learn how to enforce discipline, despite the sweet little looks she gives me! Yesterday I changed the radio in the car, which she thinks should remain constantly on Elmo. As I changed it, she said, "No Mommy!". I told her, for the millionth time, that we don't say "No Mommy", that it isn't nice. She smiled at me sweet as pie from the backseat and said, "No, Kim"! What a mess....I couldn't do anything but laugh, which means I am sure she will use that line again!

The Zoo

Our friends from Phoenix came to visit last weekend and we took all the girls to the zoo! Even with 4 adults, getting 3 kids and all their gear loaded and unloaded from the car is a task! Addison loved all the animals at the zoo, but not as much as the poop! Whenever someone asks her what she saw at the zoo, she tells them "poop"! It's true, there was alot of poop...I just sure didn't expect it to be what she remembered most! I almost feel out of my chair laughing the first time I heard her tell someone that!

Elmo Groupies

Sunday night we went with the McClures to Sesame Street Live....Elmo Makes Music! Addison is crazy about Elmo right now, so this was such a treat for her. Besides the fact that we completly overstimulated our children it was so much fun! They were pretty hyped up after watching DVD's all the way there, seeing the show, a LATE dinner at Chili's and more DVD's all the way home! This was one action packed evening in the eyes of a one year old, but we all loved it!!!

Our First Major Accident

Well, we have survived our first major accident. I am sure it is only the first of many to come! Addison was trying to walk her 70 pound dog, when Maggie spotted something and bolted. I had been holding Maggie's collar, while Addison held the leash, but I had just let go for a split second....all Mommy's fault! Maggie yanked the leash right out of her hand, but not until after Addison bounced twice off the concrete! She has actually been pretty tough, and didn't even cry that long, she just looks pretty beat up!
