Christmas Morning

We traveled on Christmas this year, which is unusual for us. So, we did crammed in a full morning until lunch and then headed to Texas.

We opened stockings and presents, ate cinnamon rolls, played with new things and had a big brisket lunch.

We are big FitBit fans around here. I used to win the daily challenge, until Addison and Reagan joined. Now, they beat me everyday.

The kids went to a Foster Parent's Night Out that our church hosts quarterly. The December night, allowed them to shop for their parents, so they could experience giving. Daddy got 4 of these caps and  I got lots of make-up. So sweet.

Reagan had "Elf Yourself" Day. She was adorable.

This year we spiced up our gingerbread house making with a little contest. We drew names to be in groups of 2. Constructed our houses and put them on Facebook so our friends and family could vote for their favorite. We loved having a little competition and I think it will be a new tradition. This house was mine and Gracyn's.

I thought we should watch a classic Christmas movie. We watched Miracle on 34st street, the original. We didn't love it. Too slow, too hard to hear. Dad feel asleep and everyone got a little restless.

Boy Toys

The girls got a sewing machine for Christmas. They got in on the Eve of Christmas Eve, so we would have time to work with it and make a project before leaving town. It was a big hit and we are learning....slowly!!!
