Texas Travels

Gracyn is all loaded up in the suitcase and ready to hit the road to Texas. We pulled out Saturday morning at 2am. As is usually the case on our departure, the girls were super excited and didn't go back to sleep until around 4am and then only for about an hour. Still, we made the trip in 11 1/2 hours and happily piled out of the car Saturday afternoon. We unloaded, got a few wiggles out, said hello to all the animals and then jumped back in the car and drove into Lewisville to celebrate my baby cousin Brylee's first birthday. It was the beginning of MUCH running around Texas. We calculate a total of 40 hours spent in the car over the course of the week.After the party, we crashed early and finally got a good nights sleep. Unfortunantly Sunday morning came with me feeling yucky and Reagan telling me her ear hurt. She and I spent the morning at Urgent Care and left with 2 rounds of antibiotics. One for my strep-throat and one for her ear infection. Yuck, but we didn't let it slow us down much. By Sunday afternoon we were outside riding the horses. Gracyn has joined the ranks of her sisters and LOVES the "neigh-neighs". She especially loves to feed them carrots and apples. She was quite a sight waddling her way out to the barn each morning with fists full of carrots.

She is out of treats, but he is still checking her out and looking for more.

Addison rode in the saddle some, but she was insistent that she try bareback this time.

Reagan jumped back up for a quick bareback ride. She had a helmet on at some point....not sure where it is here.

They had a great day riding, feeding and grooming horses. Here is Gracyn after a full day....all cleaned up and ready for bed. Do you see that beautiful hair.....not stick straight and full of static? I may not like the humidity for my hair, but is sure does good for my girlies!
